Observing the 34 th anniversary of the horror of January 28th

1986 , I wanted to share the energy I felt in those shadow years

and in that time frame.

A company sponsored trip to Hawaii , was my 2nd within marriage .

It was only for 3 days, much to quick a trip for me , and as we arrived

and checked in quickly and headed towards the beach , I was unaware

of things to come .

Flying in the pilot announced a fly over the Hula Bowl ..We were low

enough to see the stadium.

Announcing earlier , or later , I cannot recall , that the space craft Challenger

had exploded , and a plane full of grieving passengers landed in beautiful

Hawaii ..

As I said , we headed to the beach , and enjoyed Coronas and barbecued

🍤 shrimp…heading back to our room to prepare for dinner at dusk.

Upon arrival at our room, I developed the adverse effects , which were

so harsh that a doctor was called , and he did help clean up the tiled

bathroom..

The doctor administered a shot, my 1st shot, but not my 1st experience

and the door had hardly shut when he turned to me , asking if I wanted

to go with him to dinner 🥘😷👎

It was a day, I’ll never forget for all the details, for traveling meant

leaving our 3 year old, our 5 year old and 7 year old sons , which was

always hard for me, but was treated very casually … instinctually

I was concerned about their caregiver on our trips .

My internal GPS was taking a beating 😜.

Nothing about that day seemed real , authentic , or true …
