Bay Leaves

Interesting…. I learned this today and gonna share.

Many ladies add bay leaves to our foods, especially red meat and bird meat.

Not sure why bay leaves are added to food? When a woman asks why, she says: to give the food a taste.

If you boil bay leaves in a glass of water and taste it, you will get no flavor.

So why do you put bay leaves in the meat?

Adding bay leaves to meat converts triglycerides into mono fats, and to experiment and confirm:

Cut the chicken in half and cook each half in a pan and put it on a bay leaf and the other without bay leaf and observe the amount of grease in both pans.

If you have bay leaves, no need for a pharmacy. Recent scientific studies have shown that bay leaves have many benefits.

Helps to get rid of many serious health problems and diseases,

These are the advantages of bay leaf :-

Bay leaf treats digestive disorders and helps to eliminate bloating.

Heart burn

Acidity

Flu,

It regulates bowel movement by drinking hot bay tea.

Reduces sugar and bay leaf is also an antioxidant,

It allows the body to produce insulin by eating it or drinking bay tea for a month.

Removes bad cholesterol and relieves the body of triglycerides.

Very useful in the treatment of flu, cold and severe cough, because it is a rich source of vitamin “C”, you can boil the leaves and inhale steam to get rid of the flue and reduce the severity of the cough.

Bay leaf protects the heart from seizures and spills because it contains cardiovascular protective compounds.

Rich in acids such as caffeic acid, quercetin, eigonol and bartoliniide, substances that prevent cancer cells from forming in the body.

Removes insomnia and anxiety, if taken before sleep, helps to relax and sleep peacefully.

Drinking a cup of bay leaves cooked twice a day breaks kidney stones and cures infections…

If you have breathing problems or struggling to control anxiety, you should start burning bay leaves at home every day. But be careful, don’t burn the house down. 😃😃

Thankful to Teachers

To all of those who tried to dim my light

Thank you for teaching me to shine fully

And embrace my light

To all of those who chose to abandon me

Thank you for teaching me to never abandon myself

To all of those who chose to devalue and diminish me

Thank you for teaching me to value myself and see my worth

To all of those who tried to break me

Thank you for teaching me what it means to be strong

To all of those who tried to silence me

Thank you for teaching me to find my voice

And to all of those who didn’t believe in me or support me

Thank you for teaching me to believe in myself.

Greatest Gift

“Life is so frequently unbearable–you think you can’t possibly go on. Life–the survival of life–is the getting up again and going on, and the means of doing this vary, but at the heart of all things moving forward is the realization–for me, at any rate–that the world, your friends, your own broken heart need your friendship and your laughter and your willingness to go on. Break down and acknowledge your loss, your anger, your diminishing assets, but fall right back on a laugh, a story, a meal–whatever you can cobble together and give to someone else, to yourself.

“My sadness has always been, I think, a reminder that, in my spell of solitude and serenity, the world was still out there getting beat up, people were in pain, and I need to get back to tending to them.

“The greatest gift sometimes is the outstretched hand.”–Alec Guinness/Interview with James Grissom/1997

To the Woman who is fading away

To The Woman Who Is

Slowly Fading Away

To the woman who has

lost her spark.

To the woman who’s

get up and go,

has well and truly gone.

~THIS IS FOR YOU~

This is to remind you, that you don’t have to be everything to everyone, every day.

You didn’t sign up for that.

Remember when you used to

laugh, sing and throw caution to the wind?

Remember when you used to forgive yourself more quickly for not always being perfect?

You can get that back again.

You really can.

And that doesn’t have to mean letting people down or walking away.

It just means being kinder to you, and feeling brave enough to say no sometimes.

Being brave enough to stop sometimes and rest.

It starts the moment you realize that you’re not quite who you used to be.

Some of that is good, and some of that is not.

There are parts of you that need to be brought back.

And if anyone in your life is not okay with that
they are not your people.

Your people will be glad to see that spark starting to light up again.

So, if you have been slowly fading away my friend, this is the time to start saying yes to things that bring you joy and no

to things that don’t.

It’s pretty simple.

Cherokee Women

I have Cherokee blood đŸ©ž; so this makes sense đŸ™â˜źïž

Cherokee Women and Their Important Roles:

Women in the Cherokee society were equal to men. They could earn the title of War Women and sit in councils as equals. This privilege led an Irishman named Adair who traded with the Cherokee from 1736-1743 to accuse the Cherokee of having a “petticoat government”.

Clan kinship followed the mother’s side of the family. The children grew up in the mother’s house, and it was the duty of an uncle on the mother’s side to teach the boys how to hunt, fish, and perform certain tribal duties. The women owned the houses and their furnishings. Marriages were carefully negotiated, but if a woman decided to divorce her spouse, she simply placed his belongings outside the house. Cherokee women also worked hard. They cared for the children, cooked, tended the house, tanned skins, wove baskets, and cultivated the fields. Men helped with some household chores like sewing, but they spent most of their time hunting.

Cherokee girls learned by example how to be warriors and healers. They learned to weave baskets, tell stories, trade, and dance. They became mothers and wives, and learned their heritage. The Cherokee learned to adapt, and the women were the core of the Cherokee.

No Waiting Room

NO WAITING ROOM

What if you didn’t wake up tomorrow and your soul is watching down thinking of all the things you didn’t get to do yet because you were too scared, or too shy, or too worried about money. And all the things you told yourself you weren’t good enough for, swam in front of your eyes, fighting for a place in the line, beside the words you didn’t say and the joy you forget to have.

My friend, there is absolutely no room for anything in your day, other than acceptance. You will never have enough money, or time, and you will certainly never have that perfect body the world told you you need to be happy.

And before you say it’s too late to embrace this thing we call life, no it is not. You can do it right where you are. Right this minute. Get outside, breathe, look at the trees, put your bare feet on the grass – hand on your heart to feel that pulse – and that’s it.

You’re living.

Keep that up.

Wait up for the moon sometimes or get up early to see a sunrise, juts because.

Jump in the lake. Run and skip.

The things you need to feel alive are free and all around my friend.

You just have to see them.

Let in opportunity and say yes to the invitations that scare you a little, in a good way.

Say no to some of the things you force yourself to do, knowing they rinse you of your peace.

Life was never supposed to be a waiting room, it was supposed to be a hillside, with paths leading in every direction and mountains as far as the eye can see, hiding adventures and new friends behind them.

Don’t let yourself get to the end of this ride without having stopped to smell those beautiful roses.

That’s the only thing you need to fear in this life.

Everything else is all part of it.

It’s all just a messy, complicated, beautiful and terrifying part of it.

Chin up, throw your arms wide open and let it be so.

Truth

I used to try to be Good.

Good was my go-to in everything.

But Good got me nowhere.

Not like Truth.

Truth,

she tore me to shreds,

devoured me whole and spat me out shaking and new.

Truth keeps a box of matches in my pocket.

While Good made me afraid of transformative fire.

Truth keeps me real,

even if it makes everyone in the room uncomfortable.

And Truth,

unlike Good,

doesn’t let me bow down to anything.

Truth doesn’t let me give in to bullying, misguidance and fear-based criticism

or cowardice.

Truth is a queen and a humanitarian,

while Good,

she’s a silent,

scared little sheep.

Truth knows that Good dulls my already radiant, fierce and loving soul.

Good showed me how to hide my wings,

my words and angel vision.

Truth taught me to be brave.

Truth taught me how to respect myself.

Truth allows me to hold impenetrable space for any story,

but first and foremost,

for my own.

And Truth,

well,

she changes everything,

and friend,

she’s coming for you, too

Loved & Loved : She is Home đŸ

“When you look deep within

Beyond the surface pale

And the lined eyes,

Through the skein

Of fine lines that

Travel like tributaries

To your soul,

You might find

The wayward girl

you once knew

The young girl lost

To the antics of living

Who bore you no ill will

But who couldn’t yet grasp

The magnitude of

Incremental action

Upon action

Upon action

Which creates the

Ultimate direction of

A troubled life.

You might find her,

Beneath the greeting

And the greying hair,

Beyond the freckled

Hands

And you might beckon

Her with forgiving heart

And loving arms

To welcome her into

The quiet, gorgeous room

With flowers and pink blossoms

With perfume and pretty things

With standing vases of

Bright poppies

And tulips –

Yes tulips –

And you will let her know

That finally, with you

She is lived and loved

And she is home.”

Feast of Trumpets

I would certainly agree that the Feast of Trumpets and New Moon calendar are not giving us the correct timing,

lets watch to see when New Moon is seen in Jerusalem…

it cant be tonight, the 25th… if first seen on a twinkling twilight of 27th Moon will be birthing from the Sign of the Woman…
