Look In The Mirror

As I came to 2003/4 it was extremely traumatic .

On my own and very afraid at first I looked in the mirror and said ” you are old and ugly and no one wants you ”

Conditioning. I had accepted the projections .

One morning I woke to look in the mirror and started laughing at the Oreo chocolate ring around my mouth from eating in bed just as I fell asleep !!!

At that point I began to ” mother myself ” and would ask myself in the mirror what can I do to make you feel better ?

You (me) look tired, did you sleep well? How can I make it better ?

It began a wave of parenting experiences of self that include not allowing others to participate in projecting or gaslighting !

Blessings & Peace ✌️

Look in the mirror

And say to yourself,

“Your eyes smile

Like the nightingale.”

Look in the mirror

Tenderly

At who you are

And what you are,

At how you are

And how

You live

And make

Each day.

You are the smile

Of leaves in autumn

The tropical pandanus

In summer sun

You are the wind

The soft rain

Look in the mirror

Right here

Right now

And say to you

The woman before you –

“Your eyes smile

Like the nightingale.”

Age

“The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other ages you’ve been.

I am still every age that I have been. Because I was once a child, I am always a child. Because I was once a searching adolescent, given to moods and ecstasies, these are still part of me, and always will be . . . This does not mean that I ought to be trapped or enclosed in any of these ages . . . the delayed adolescent, the childish adult, but that they are in me to be drawn on; to forget is a form of suicide . . .

Far too many people misunderstand what *putting away childish things* means, and think that forgetting what it is like to think and feel and touch and smell and taste and see and hear like a three-year-old or a thirteen-year-old or a twenty-three-year-old means being grownup. When I’m with these people I, like the kids, feel that if this is what it means to be a grown-up, then I don’t ever want to be one. Instead of which, if I can retain a child’s awareness and joy, and *be* fifty-one, then I will really learn what it means to be grownup.”

Truth

I used to try to be Good.

Good was my go-to in everything.

But Good got me nowhere.

Not like Truth.

Truth,

she tore me to shreds,

devoured me whole and spat me out shaking and new.

Truth keeps a box of matches in my pocket.

While Good made me afraid of transformative fire.

Truth keeps me real,

even if it makes everyone in the room uncomfortable.

And Truth,

unlike Good,

doesn’t let me bow down to anything.

Truth doesn’t let me give in to bullying, misguidance and fear-based criticism

or cowardice.

Truth is a queen and a humanitarian,

while Good,

she’s a silent,

scared little sheep.

Truth knows that Good dulls my already radiant, fierce and loving soul.

Good showed me how to hide my wings,

my words and angel vision.

Truth taught me to be brave.

Truth taught me how to respect myself.

Truth allows me to hold impenetrable space for any story,

but first and foremost,

for my own.

And Truth,

well,

she changes everything,

and friend,

she’s coming for you, too

Angels

“You are always an Angel.

This ethereal realm

You delegate

And relegate

To space

And unseen things

Is here

Right here,

As real as the

Small cut on your

Tiny finger,

As real as your

Parched throat

After a day in the sun,

As real as the breeze

That blows across

The dashboard

Of your car,

Fluttering wayward

Papers and receipts

Like little prayers

To heaven.

You are always an Angel.

As real as the jasmine

and wisteria

With its cluster

Of violet flowers

That sing their quiet song

In the early morning

Light.

You are an Angel.

Always.

You have always

been an Angel

With and without

The flowering wings

That flutter

Like the papers

and receipts

Across the dashboard

As you make your

Own and precious

And ordinary drive

All the way home

To your very own

And very real

And very true

soul

Within.”

Equinox Libra New Moon

🙏☯️💖

As well as being in the sign of balance, this Equinox Libra New Moon marks several significant astrological and spiritual events: at this important time of changing seasons and setting intention, today is the beginning of Navratri, India’s nine-day adoration of the Goddess. It is also Rosh Hashana and Jewish New Year.

From the astrological point of view, the light of the Sun is now conjunct Laneakia, which is the very heart of our Galaxy cluster, opening us to the possibility of connecting to other galaxies.

The Libra Sun, aligned with Laneakia, shines directly upon Jupiter in Aries, astrology’s ‘Cosmic Guru’, now in apparent retrograde motion (going back into sign of traditional rulership Pisces, from where the ‘Sacred Teacher’, Jupiter, radiates blessings). Jupiter is also at its closest to Earth in 60 years; this is a Kalachakra cycle accenting World Peace.

Because Jupiter is closer, the ‘Wise Sage’ will now be easy to see in the night sky over the coming months. Look up at midnight to see Jupiter beaming directly overhead. Jupiter will also be close to the Moon as she approaches culmination, towards the Full Moon, 9th Oct.

Also this lunation, from New Libra Moon 25th September @21:55 to New Scorpio Moon, October 26th, heralds a once-a-century shift of the Venus Star Point, October 22nd, when the Sun is conjunct Venus in Libra. Venus is both Goddess of Love & War, and will be in her home sign of the Libran scales, sign of fairness and harmony, art and culture, beauty and relationship. This is a momentous move as it is the first time as ‘Venus Cazimi’ (conjunct Sol, as one of the five points on a 5-point star, aka the ‘Venus Rose Mandala’) in Libra since 1889.

Wishing all beings Peace and Love with this very cosmic, Venus-ruled Equinox New Libra Moon

Loved & Loved : She is Home 🏠

“When you look deep within

Beyond the surface pale

And the lined eyes,

Through the skein

Of fine lines that

Travel like tributaries

To your soul,

You might find

The wayward girl

you once knew…

The young girl lost

To the antics of living

Who bore you no ill will

But who couldn’t yet grasp

The magnitude of

Incremental action

Upon action

Upon action

Which creates the

Ultimate direction of

A troubled life.

You might find her,

Beneath the greeting

And the greying hair,

Beyond the freckled

Hands

And you might beckon

Her with forgiving heart

And loving arms

To welcome her into

The quiet, gorgeous room

With flowers and pink blossoms

With perfume and pretty things

With standing vases of

Bright poppies

And tulips –

Yes tulips –

And you will let her know

That finally, with you…

She is lived and loved

And she is home.”

Half ~ Khalil Gibran

Do not love half lovers

Do not entertain half friends

Do not live half a life

and do not die a half death

If you choose silence, then be silent

When you speak, do so until you are finished

Do not silence yourself to say something

And do not speak to be silent

If you accept, then express it bluntly

Do not mask it

If you refuse then be clear about it

for an ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance

Do not accept half a solution

Do not believe half truths

Do not dream half a dream

Do not fantasize about half hopes

Half the way will get you no where

Half an idea will bear you no results

Half a life is a life you didn’t live,

A word you have not said

A smile you postponed

A love you have not had

A friendship you did not know

The half is a mere moment of inability

but you are able for you are not half a being

You are a whole that exists to live a life

not half a life.
