The emerging mental health issue of ‘parental alienation,’ in which one parent turns a child against the other parent, could be added to International Classification of Diseases when the World Health Organization votes to accept the 11th revision of the tool in May.

I have joined with many parents affected with the surreal , yet accepted issue of child abuse via Pathogenic Parenting / Domestic abuse. As a survivor of Domestic Abuse, denial abounded that 3 sons were not affected. In my desire to be family to those who have found me lacking . As a survivor of psychiatric abuse, therapist who abused also and toxic prescribed medications took me to hell on earth with few moments of heaven. I will share my life, my experiences and my studies and research.. I will talk to small circles and I will council ; as targeted parents , grandparents , aunts , uncles etc. , are denied contact with a child for reasons that serve the abuser ...further abusing the child. I grasp the trauma and I have looked at the lost connection to a higher power.. I grasp when one is accustomed to privilege, equality can feel like discrimination.. Shame and affluence silences a lot of facts , truths that have been labeled "negative". It is about liberation of the soul from projections of a alienator , and abuser ..

  2. I think many many psychological factors come into alienation mainly how parents react to extreme amounts of stress. Fundamentally we don’t need WHO to put this in writing what we need are trauma informed courts, judges that are trained in domestic matters and legislators that realize that the stress they are placing on judges due to poor docket management has impact appropriate temperaments in the court rooms across North America.

    I like to address the gentleman above regarding rich men and women using Parental Alienation. Most of the people in my Parental Alienation groups are men. Men and women are being placed in horrific situations watching their relationships with their own children die a hard death and their is nothing more painful to experience.

    Psychology today states “Where marked and unequivocal differences emerge between the genders is not in terms of anger (the feeling) but in terms of aggression (the behavior). Men are more likely than women to use physical violence when angry (and when not angry)—a difference that has remained relatively consistent across diverse cultures and times in history around the globe.”

    The article is posted below. Lets say that article is correct that means that when women argue with a man we should argue knowing that men have more aggression right?

    From my experience the push and the pull in High Conflict divorces that result in Parental Alienation is a fundamental failure of many systematic approaches and my concern would be naming Parental Alienation as a form of child abuse will put many falsely accused parents in jail because your bringing out the butter without using the bread meaning our Family Court Judges need to be better trained allow more time and they only way that can happen is if the state legislators stop burying their heads in the sand.
