Recovery language in substance abuse
New research published in Critical Social Work reveals that dominant understandings of recovery, such as maintaining abstinence, can be experienced by service users as oppressive.
The critical discourse analysis of qualitative interviews with individuals struggling with substance use issues in rural Ontario examined power dynamics inherent to discourse on substance addiction recovery. The author concludes by offering recommendations such as training and education to address stigma and implicit biases among clinicians and the inclusion of individuals experiencing substance abuse issues in research, policy development, clinical practice, and education.
Researcher Sandra R. McNeil of the University of Windsor writes:
“By shaping who should recover, how they should recover, and what recovery should look like, recovery discourse constitutes categories of inclusion and exclusion. Viewing substance use recovery through a critical lens exposes ideological values that perpetuate substance use stigma at micro and macro levels. Equally important are the numerous, intersecting forms of stigma related to race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, appearance, geography, and types of substance use that are capable of (de)constructing structural inequities.”

Healers
The Gallows would be too kind
for those who did what they did.
Although, I have heard it said
that the gallows belong to people
who behave like shit.
The gift of healing is in our womb.
Hangings nor burning can distinguish what has been passed down from the first woman to us.
We are healers,
the knowers of things.
Our ways are not hidden,
evil, or undeserving of respect.
It’s silly to believe that those who were sentenced to death were all that was left.
Healers are coming out in groves.

Gaia Mystic & High Priestess Mare Cromwell first received the spiritual directive from Mother Gaia to organize this in 2016 and it has continued since.
Through a powerful Unified Field of multiple ceremonies, we manifest significant Divine Feminine healing energies to support all beings during these intense times and further the Birthing of our New Earth.
In 2022, Mother Gaia is specifically calling for us to gather in Ceremony and have a “Party”! She wants us to keen (mourn and release our grief by wailing loudly) if we need to, move our bodies, dance, drum and raise the energy and release our “ya-ya’s” from two+ years of pandemic restrictions, economic stress, fear, grief and sorrow.
The intention is to collectively weave together as One in a Global Grid with Mother Gaia’s Womb-Heart, affirming our Connection with the Womb of Creation in the Universal Realms – to anchor more Luminous Love world-wide! Yay!!
This global event is based upon a Tibetan prophecy that states that when 1000 Goddesses or Buddhist Taras gather, the Divine Feminine will rebirth through their combined energies, and the tone of the planet will shift from fear to compassion.
We encourage people to gather face-to-face in their local communities if they are able to. There are events scheduled all over the world!

I am surrendered to love which does not include deceptions on any level but the higher love ❤️
Running away in rage , silenced by shame , still involving one’s self with the same lessons ; repeat .
It begins to feel like insanity . However I fell my life thus far and my inherited missions are near completion and it may include some more shit to step in , despite the current life challenges , I am ready.
I did not sleep well last night , the chemicals being sprayed include barium and I have depletion which I’m going to address while resting .
The 2 upcoming eclipse are heralded as game changers and free will bring what it , major releases of opposition of any kind within one’s tribe .
Hearing this song lifted me up and I’m in a good head space and heart and spirit and I’m not ignoring my health or allowing anyone to challenge that mission .
