For the Ancestors

I call on my ancestors and say thank you for all you endured

so that I could be here.

I appreciate you.

I break the chains you carried through

the generations.

It stops right here, with me.

I know some of you don’t understand, some envy, some anger,

but it is my time now.

I release the bonds, chains, trauma, patterns and

anything that is holding me back

anything that held you back

so that we can blossom.

I know some of you celebrate with me, clap my successes, weep

when I fall down…

It is because of you I get back up again

It is because of you,

I push through

We evolve and grow – each generation because of the works of the hands of the last generations.

To my great, great, great, great, greats.

I honour you. Each one of you,

those that I knew

and those of you that I will never know,

To all of you.

I know you

in my heart

And you know me

And together,

unity.

Those who try to

This is for everyone who tries.

Who tries to learn, tries to grow, tries to respond kindly and wisely, tries to recognize their own issues instead of blaming everyone else.

This is for everyone who tries to be their best even when they’re not feeling their best.

I see you. I appreciate you.

And I hope you know you make the world a better place, just by being you ..

Don’t feed the parental Alienator – Charlie McCarthy

When alienated parents react and become outraged, and heartbroken by the loss of their child and the injustice they face, it’s perfectly understandable, and natural. However, continually dwelling on these negative emotions and allowing them to consume our energy can be detrimental to our emotional well-being.

The quote by Emily Maroutian about ‘paying’ attention to what we focus on, serves as a reminder. While it’s crucial to acknowledge and process our emotions, dwelling on them excessively can perpetuate the cycle of pain and hinder our ability to heal. Instead, it’s beneficial to redirect energy towards self-care, seeking support, and taking proactive steps to address the situation constructively. By shifting attention towards personal growth, healing, and finding ways to reconnect with their child, as and when that’s possible, we can create a healthier space for ourselves and increase the chances of eventual resolution and reconciliation.

Loniless

“Loneliness is not just the absence of people. It’s the absence of purpose, the absence of meaning. “When you find yourself in a world where everything seems alienated and distant, where every connection is shallow and every meeting of understanding is met with indifference, you realize that true loneliness is not being alone, but feeling alone in a world that no longer makes sense.”

—Murakami

Across the great divide

“…Conflict engenders fire, the fire of affects and emotions, and like every other fire it has two aspects: that of burning and that of creating light.

On the one hand, emotion is the alchemical fire whose warmth brings everything into existence and whose heat burns all superfluities to ashes.

But on the other hand, emotion is the moment when steel meets flint and a spark is struck forth, for emotion is the chief source of consciousness.

There is no change from darkness to light or from inertia to movement without emotion.”

Nameless Dead Ascend/ Mad in America

Poem of the Week: “When the Lunatics Arise” by Bonnie Schell

Excerpt:

The nameless dead ascend, limp forward then soar, breaking through the thin clouds.

They rise, shouting their full names into the skies.

And drift from numbered body to body whispering, “It is safe. It is safe.”

Shackled, sterilized, lobotomized, now upright the strangers stand, meet and greet their peers

From across the land – 300,000 acres – of public asylums and state hospitals.

From deep valleys they arise, levitating above the priests with their liturgies of exorcism,

And the doctors with their Diagnostic and Statistical Manuals.

They run up the hills and are not weary. They fly and do not tire or fall.

Look up! Open your SUV and condo windows. Crook your neck and see!

All the shunned ones, missing from scrapbooks, removed from Ancestry trees,

All the ones who swallowed secrets, stuttered, became silent

All the ones never invited to the weddings, graduations, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, and death beds, Deprived of connection, now say “Hello you.”

In the mist of hate ….

“My dear, In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that…In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”

– Albert Camus

Vin Diesel : How he treated his partner in separation 🙌🤩

Actor Vin Diesel broke up with his partner after three years, but when they separated, he didn’t take her out of their home. He left the marital house to her and moved to live nearby.

Not only that, he also requested that all monthly bills—internet, phone, and electricity—be sent to him for payment. He completely rejected any form of communication that would interfere or publicize anything about their separation.

After six years, his partner had an accident while returning from a shopping trip…

Diesel stood by her side and donated his blood to her. When she recovered, they got back together. 💙

In summary: either we live together in love with pure and humble hearts, or we separate, but love and respect remain between us. We keep our precious memories and respect each other no matter what happens.
