NEW MOON 14° CANCER – FRI JUL 5 – 3:57PM PDT

Friday’s New Moon squares the Moon’s nodes in Aries/Libra while activating a sextile between Mars in Taurus and retrograde Saturn in Pisces as Venus in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries.

Whether we choose to honor or to ignore what our hearts truly want we are ultimately accountable for the results that we experience and now we are being asked to set a new heart-centered foundation rooted in our authenticity that no longer includes the self-protective patterns of the past.

The ‘familiar’ can be comforting at times but it is when it starts to ‘hurt’ us more than it helps us that it is time to face what we have been avoiding by taking careful and deliberate steps towards what truly serves us at the deepest levels…

Relationships & Honesty

The healthiest relationships and friendships are not necessarily the ones that look happiest to the naked eye.

They aren’t necessarily the ones where two people are always found holding hands, giggling, dancing and singing with the butterflies on Instagram, where nothing ever goes wrong and love is beautiful and blissful and perfect.

External ‘perfection’ can easily mask internal devastation, disconnection and that awful, unspoken desperation to be free.

The healthiest relationships are the honest ones. And they might not look so ‘happy’ or ‘carefree’ from the outside. They might not fit the image of what a relationship ‘should’ or ‘must’ look or feel like.

Here, two people tell the honest, painful truth about today, and continually let go of all their preconceived ideas about each other. The relationship is forever renewed in the furnace of authenticity. There may be ruptures, misunderstandings, even intense feelings of doubt and disconnection, but there is a mutual willingness to face this seeming mess head-on! To look – with open eyes – at the present rupture, and not turn away or cling to the past. To sit together in the midst of mutual shattered dreams and expectations, and work to find a place of reconnection, here, now, today.

New Moon Cancer -Inspiring 7/5

THE INSPIRATIONAL ENERGIES OF THE NEW MOON IN CANCER ✨ JULY 5, 2024

Dear friends, we end this first week of the month with a comforting and emotionally soothing wave of cosmic lightcodes. The first new moon of Summer, or Winter, arrives on the evening of Friday July 5 in the water sign of Cancer.

New moons in general foster a sense of quietness and introspection, the dark night sky reflecting only the distant light of the planets and the stars. The sun and moon align in the sky, making the moon invisible to the naked eye. The days before and after the new moon can act as an energetic blank canvas, a place for us to bring our intentions to life.

This particular new moon, which takes place within the energetic window of the 7:7 portal, is all about listening to our intuition and deep feelings, and using their energetic strength to set new goals and objectives. Since this new moon is in the sign of Cancer, which is ruled by the moon itself, this lunation is a moment in which our emotions, intuition, and sense of self will push us to make decisions based on what our gut feelings tell us. What makes your heart truly happy and sing with joy? This is exactly what this new moon energy is asking you this weekend. Doing what makes us truly happy, for the first time in a while, will make us feel as though we can amplify our passions, moving forward in our earthly life’s journey, and propel us into higher frequency timelines of reality.

That said, this deeply sentimental new moon may bring some nostalgia into our awareness. Riding in the waves of Saturn and Neptune retrograde, the Cancer new moon will also be showing us aspects of our past that still need emotional healing and closure. This new moon can indeed feel like an emotional roller coaster, bringing up intense old feelings, dreams, and behaviors. Thinking and reflecting upon these issues could lead us to understand what we want to change in the present, and add to our lives. Do we need more freedom? Love? Companionship? Self-acceptance? This new moon is the perfect time to send those intentions out into the universal womb of creation.

We also have the presence of a few other cosmic bodies contributing with their own healing energetic forces during this new moon. The presence of Chiron, who’s known as “the wounded healer”, as well as the asteroids Juno—the protector of the home—, Ceres the asteroid of unconditional love, and Pallas who brings wisdom, will help us love and appreciate our shadow self and past inner child experiences, allowing us to stop cycles of familial conflicts, or at least allow us to see and identify those patterns still present in our lives.
