Grace Waves – Reach out

I searched for this image today, because it so clearly depicts what is burning in my heart.

There are so many people who currently feel like they are—emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally, figuratively—standing on the edge of a bridge. Everywhere you look, people are going through hard things.

And tonight, I just want to implore you: If you see someone on the edge of the bridge, GRAB THEM.

Use both hands.

Grab an arm. A hand. A leg.

Anything you can reach.

Do it through a meal, or a phone call, or a letter, or a Facebook message, or a love offering, or a smile, or a hug. It doesn’t matter how you do it. Let Holy Spirit lead.

But please reach out and grab them so they know that someone somewhere cares enough to hold on.

Grab them because you are the hands and arms of Jesus on this earth, and there is nothing He wants more than to wrap people up and hold them close right now.

Grab them.

Hold on with all your heart.

Remind them that hope is on the way. 💜

“He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart.” — Isaiah‬ ‭40:11‬ ‭NLT‬

Listening – Vital to mental wellness

A must read:

Viktor Frankl, one of the great psychiatrists of the twentieth century, survived the death camps of Nazi Germany. His little book, Man’s Search for Meaning, is one of those life-changing books that everyone should read.

Frankl once told the story of a woman who called him in the middle of the night to calmly inform him she was about to commit suicide. Frankl kept her on the phone and talked her through her depression, giving her reason after reason to carry on living. Finally she promised she would not take her life, and she kept her word.

When they later met, Frankl asked which reason had persuaded her to live?

“None of them”, she told him.

What then influenced her to go on living, he pressed?

Her answer was simple, it was Frankl’s willingness to listen to her in the middle of the night. A world in which there was someone ready to listen to another’s pain seemed to her a world in which it was worthwhile to live.

Often, it is not the brilliant argument that makes the difference. Sometimes the small act of listening is the greatest gift we can give.

Hormone D , and lowered suicide in study of 1.3 million Vets

Vitamin D Supplementation Associated with Lower Suicide Rates in Military Veterans

A study in conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) involving over 1.3 million veterans showed significant benefit from vitamin D regarding incidents of suicide attempts and intentional self-harm.

Supplementation with vitamin D2 or D3 was associated with 45% to 48% reduction in risk of suicide attempts and self-harm. Veterans with pre-study serum levels of vitamin D 25 (OH) D below 20 ng/ml had the most benefit from supplementation and those with measured levels of 40 ng/ml had lower incidence in general.

It should be noted that vitamin D3 supplementation more efficiently increases serum levels of 25(OH) D.

“Vitamin D supplementation was associated with a reduced risk of suicide attempt and self-harm in Veterans, especially in veterans with low blood serum levels and Black veterans.”

Medically Assisted Suicide is Not a Win to Metal Health

Canada has law that 12 year old mentally I’ll children can ask for assisted suicide

Medically-Assisted Suicide Is Not a Win for Mental Health

By Megan Wildhood

Disability rights advocates argue that difficulty in accessing medical assistance in dying services is unjust and oppressive, that forcing someone to stay alive against their will is abusive and devalues human life since it doesn’t respect the power of choice. Whether you agree or disagree with that, the problem is the precedent it has set: this is no longer about physical illnesses known to be degenerative and fatal; it is expanding well beyond that into the areas of mental health and even socioeconomics.

Canada’s MAID program, which has been in the spotlight lately, has drastically lowered the requirements for who can qualify for their services. The kinds of diagnoses have expanded from physical illnesses known to be terminal to “mental illnesses”—and some applicants are being accepted for MAID simply because they’re poor. The worst part is that the process has been streamlined so that the time from application to death is getting alarmingly short.

Suicide

In this article it’s mentioned that lacking religion ( church is a place of fellowship ) is part of the reason for suicide; however the youth polled attribute their faith to spiritual.

Loneliness is another factor and indeed parents are taking their own lives in knowledge their children won’t care for them or have their best interest at heart should they become I’ll or terminal .

The harshness of the indoctrination and then the traumatic experiences for those in any branch of the services plus the large amount of vaccines given at once must be considered with regard to Army suicides

Add to that the profit of psychiatric drugs for Big Pharma and the distorted DSM and many suicides don’t get reported as autopsies are done without checking for drugs in most cases .

My ” suicide ” attempt was induced by Dr prescribed 3600 mg of gabapentin as it known to do especially in such high doses .
