Beneath my feet, the embers burn,

A path of fire, no way to turn.

The heat, it calls, the pain, it sings,

A test of strength the journey brings.

Each step I take, the flames arise,

Reflected in my fearless eyes.

The coals are sharp, the pain is real,

Signs of chosen ones , since childhood

Neglect was more common than abuse .. but yes it was a very scary ,

singular , responsible childhood… I did not know a lot and so, I credit

God , and my internal radar that protected me . I had no memory of

the horror of being orally raped , just an intuitive sense of right and wrong

wrong .. I detested lies, had little trust in my Mom being involved

in all that’s required of motherhood .

Longest day & night

The ancestors of all ancient solar traditions share a similar message about the longest day and night. Here in the northern hemisphere, we are about to experience the longest night and the return of the light. Solstice is an opportunity to embrace all hidden aspects within ourselves. It’s a moment to gather the courage to confront our shadows, illusions, and denials and dive deeper into self-discovery. This is a time for brutal honesty with oneself, free from resistance or expectations. There is nothing to fear in the shadow. The enlightenment we seek is hidden in the very shadows we avoid.
