I was prescribed 3600 mgs per day , as my physical pain increased , and this RX is known for suicidal inducement . On my birthday , 2/28/99, all alone , my marriage definitely over , my Mom near death I swallowed a new prescription of Seroquel( prescribed for bipolar mania)
Our youngest son found me , called his Dad .. To my knowledge this child did not receive council , and may have been told just to leave me to die ..
Ambulance was called and another son came home to witness this . It was never discussed , never healed this trauma.. the 3rd son was in college and received a phone call.
After much effort on behalf of the ambulance squad I was taken to the ER , and though only separated , Ex only stayed for 45 minutes , perhaps overcome with grief , that I did not die! I have my charts from that time and he wasn’t present to help with my chart information, or just didn’t know or care .
He did have a hot new supply to return to .
My Dad took this RX too, and had several strengths .. he developed tremors , shakiness from it . He had neuropathy.
It’s a Heinz 57 drug , off label prescribed a lot , generic , and tons of people succumb to the varied side effects.
A dose of 800 mg is standard .
Even though I was only on the medication for a little over six months, I am still traveling down the long road of psychiatric drug withdrawal. This is the hardest thing I have ever endured. This is the hardest thing I have ever endured. But here I stand, and I am grateful to be alive.

I did have thyroid issues circa 1989
I was using raw thyroid which I bought from a health food store kept refrigerated .
The DSM at that time stated clearly that a patient with thyroid issues , should NOT be on psychotropic RX .
Psychiatric, ordered me to stop my raw thyroid , prescribed Synthroid, a synthetic , which does not address all the Ts required for a healthy thyroid . He ignored my kidney function, which had been battered with many UTIs etc
I’m allergic to metals , and many antibiotics, yet my 1st drug was Lithium , a metal , which destroyed my gut and weakened my kidneys , requiring blood work , frequently .
It’s as though he wanted me dead, or was horrifically incompetent.
I have read, and heard of others being drugged like this as well.

A prescription for Xanax , for IBS was transformed into Bipolar for 13 horrific years . My ex showed absolutely no compassion, nor understanding , no support as he took 5 years to find his next supply . I married a Narcissist, had 3 sons by him, helped him build his work , by keeping “his” kids and house , being on demand for social events and travel.
The 80’s has been referred to as the “Society of Suicide” as folks were prescribed, mind altering RX that did much harm .
I’m a highly sensitive , empathic person, who had gobs of adverse childhood experiences , and complex post traumatic stress. All this as well as Domestic Abuse that was malignant , was ignored as were the disastrous side effects of the psychiatric RX which led to many physical ailments .
In 03 , I began to wake with the birth of our 1st grandson, and I was honored to help care for him. He became sick in my care, and I thought I had made him sick and I had to stop caring for him. His Mom took full advantage of my “ waking” , lacking any education or compassion for mental illness, began to dive a wedge between son and I .
This child was 11 years old when after 2 weeks of Xanax , 5 per day ( stressed out , not aware of intake ) when I had a chemically induced nervous breakdown ,, and received no therapy , nor did our other 2 .
Of course ex deferred , as fertile ground was provided him the divorce he wanted , and me as the target to gain his Mom’s support $$$.
Child Psychological Abuse , resulted, and with marriage and their own children , unhealed trauma , and a trauma bond with their Dad , has been a nightmare , though I’ve been off meds since 2005/6 , I present truth to the lies and abuse of a partner who bore no responsibility towards me.
Both my grandmothers were prescribed Valium , upon life changes and grief .
One lost her life to Valium and the other was labeled as I was , from the side effects and trauma of the RX and died prematurely .
I have cleared generational karma , and discovered a legal system that ignores the narcissist, who in addition to creating this fear , hatred by sons , has been stealing my income from mutually owned property and has tried and failed to buy my half since 2007 , using our sons and outsiders to help him in his effort to totally destroy me .
All this is coming to a conclusion, though I don’t sense any waking of sons and I’m going to be ok It has been hell on earth , this matrix of psychiatric, abuse with only money and power supporting the social and legal dictates of psychiatry for decades …
I’ve been using alternatives , testing myself, researching etc including adaptation of my sensitivity , emotional intelligence , and compassion. My desire to help those challenged by diagnosis of mental unwellness , has been draining , as I became aware of the narcissistic personality , and the abuses of our children , I now focus on that which has not helped in regards to our children, now grandchildren , but has helped many others, at age 71 have had many harsh lessons , I learned from, I wish to live in peace and harmony , in the mountain home I chose 13 years ago, and sometimes advise , having collected so much info , I am called up , 3 women in the last week; who have been physically abused , and not heard by our local deputies . Our community must send victims to surrounding cities , which I hope to help rectify .
Of note, was my ordering all my charts , medically and mentally.. my 1st axis was problematic marriage , 2nd was IBS , 3rd was Histrionic Personality!
Since when did martial problems , domestic abuse become a mental disorder ?
Of note was my psychiatrist attended the same men’s college as ex, and our lawyers had been partners without my awareness of this , ex was granted a “ no fault “ divorce in 2001.
I have cleared my name , my character restored , my health depleted , but holding much space and faith for balance and peace .
