Daughters with Absent Fathers
My Dad was mostly away as a truck driver . I missed him so deeply and would grab his pillow for a deep smell when he was away .
Boys also have losses as a result of absent Fathers . I have witnessed the results in our sons , my brothers and male dates or male friends .
“The Absent Father Effect on Daughters” by Susan E. Schwartz delves into the profound impact that the absence of a father can have on a daughter’s development, identity, and emotional well-being. Through a psychological lens, Schwartz explores how this absence—whether physical, emotional, or both—affects daughters and shapes their adult lives.
Here are several key lessons from the book
- Understanding the Impact of Absence: The book highlights the importance of recognizing the depth and breadth of the impact an absent father can have on a daughter’s psyche. This absence can manifest in various aspects of life, including issues with self-esteem, difficulties in forming healthy relationships, and challenges in understanding one’s identity.
- The Role of Recognition and Acknowledgment: A vital step in addressing the effects of an absent father is the acknowledgment of his absence and its impact. Recognizing these effects allows for the beginning of healing and provides a framework for understanding behaviors and emotions that may have been confusing or painful.
- Navigating the Path to Healing: Schwartz offers insights into the healing process, emphasizing that while the journey is personal and can be challenging, it is also filled with opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Healing may involve therapy, creating supportive relationships, and engaging in self-care practices.
- The Importance of External Support Systems: The book suggests that building a strong support system is crucial for daughters dealing with the absence of a father. This support can come from other family members, friends, mentors, or professional counselors who can provide understanding, validation, and guidance.
- Exploring One’s Identity Beyond Absence: One of the lessons is the encouragement for daughters to explore and define their identity independently of the father’s absence. This exploration can lead to a more robust sense of self and a reclamation of power over one’s life narrative.
- Developing Healthy Relationships: Schwartz discusses the impact of an absent father on a daughter’s relationships, particularly in choosing partners and establishing boundaries. The book offers strategies for understanding and breaking patterns that may lead to unhealthy relationship choices.
- The Power of Narrative: There’s a focus on the power of personal narrative and storytelling in healing. By reframing their stories, daughters can find meaning in their experiences and move towards a more empowered and self-aware future.
- The Role of Forgiveness: The concept of forgiveness, both of oneself and the absent father, is explored as a potential component of healing. Forgiveness is presented not as an obligation but as a choice that can lead to emotional freedom.
- Empowerment through Understanding: Gaining insight into the ways in which an absent father has influenced one’s life can be incredibly empowering. It allows for a reclaiming of control over one’s emotional well-being and life decisions.
- The Continuum of Absence: Schwartz acknowledges that absence can vary in degree and type, affecting daughters in uniquely individual ways. Understanding this spectrum is crucial in addressing and healing from its effects personally and sensitively.
“The Absent Father Effect on Daughters” is a comprehensive guide to understanding and healing from the complex dynamics of growing up without a father’s presence. It provides valuable insights and practical advice for those looking to navigate the challenges and find a path toward healing and fulfillment.

Life Purpose
Perhaps our “life’s purpose” has nothing to do with what job we will find, what new thing we will manifest or attract for ourselves, or what mythical awakening journey we will complete. Perhaps the purpose of our life is to fully live, finally, to touch each here and now moment with our presence and with the gift of our one, wild heart.
And to do whatever we can to help others, to hold them when they are hurting, to listen carefully to their stories and the ways they are attempting to make sense of a world that has gone a bit mad. To speak kind words and not forget the erupting miracle of the other as it appears in front of us. Perhaps this is the most radical gift that we can all give.

Illumination
As we gain deeper access to our divine nature, so much of what used to be important to us, fades away from feeling important, necessary, needed or even wanted.
Where before we loved to be busy, now we want the quiet, the calm, the flow, … a smoothness to life.
Where before we often ate foods that were just habitual foods, or foods that fed our emotional patterns, … now we are listening to our bodies and changing what we put into our beautiful bodies.
Where before, we found it hard to honour our own feelings and often went along with other’s ideas and suggestions to feel liked, … now we KNOW the importance of honouring how we feel, speaking up in this regard and it’s way more important that we like ourselves.
Where before, we were wounded by other people’s opinions of us, … now we understand that what they think about us, or say to us, is all about them and in seeing this clearly, we have a greater understanding of both ourselves and them.
Where before, we would work in areas of life that we did not fit in, were not happy in, and for companies and people that did not match our own values and integrity, … now we will not do this to ourselves. We realise the importance of living in every area of our lives through our values … and our integrity is like a cosmic handshake that seals the deal with transparency and truth. There can be no compromise made with this now that we are living through our heart-centredness.
And the change continues to move through us, dissolving all parts of the old world from us, as Love enters deeper and deeper birthing in the newest version of us.
Daily now we notice the changes happening within us … such an incredible journey to be on.
I witness this happening all around me and I recognise these changes in others from where I know myself to be. I love that we mirror each other… we are growing in our shining together.
This world is lighting up big time and that brightness is coming directly out of our awakening hearts. Keep going beautiful brothers and sisters, we are doing this, changing this world from inside ourselves, outwards.

Eclipse of Jonah or Taurus ? Susan Seymour Hedke
I posted a while back that this eclipse could be connected to Jonah because of the constellation of Cetus the Whale and that this was the Last Sign that an evil generation is supposed to get – now the Internet has gone wild about this eclipse and especially making connections to Jonah and his story, I will add a video. The eclipse passes through places with the name Jonah and Ninevah and Joppa, all connected to Jonah’s story – amazing that the USA should have so many Biblical Jonah related place names and strangely I have often thought the US looks like a whale, but that aside apparently at the time Jonah visited Ninevah there may also have been an eclipse, and this all seems significant – the story of Jonah – its a story related also to Jesus in ways that other explain.
However, there are a lot of “SIGNS” being given now, like ALEPH and TAV created by the repeating patterns of the last 3 eclipses over the USA that give me a warning Sign that this is about a future Solar Eclipse in the constellation of Taurus.
This is because I have been associating God and his son Jesus with the constellation of the Bull Taurus on the Galactic Axis which is in our times being crossed by the Solstice Axis with the Summer Solstice area in June being in the constellation Taurus. This marks the Omega-Alpha/ Aleph point in a Great Year cycle – the Bull itself is a symbol of the Heavenly God – which i am trying to explain gradually in other posts, and the very word Aleph was the word for Bull and Taurus and Tav or Tau are also connected in a number of ways – also being the place of the Crossing the Cross symbol is also appropriate as well as being a way of writing Tau or Tav. Tav or Tau is also the word meaning SIGN so all SIGNS we are given actually point us back to this God Creator Sign of Taurus whose Horns went to make the letter Aleph – the First letter of the Alpha bet – when it is said He is the First and the Last, Alpha and Omega – or Aleph and Tav ( the Last letter of the Hebrew Alphabet – He is saying He is Taurus – which means the Sign given must be here – ? Any way I am thinking about it – and that all points to me for the Final Act coming in 2029 when there will also be a Solar Eclipse in the constellation Taurus …
which date in 2029 is the most significant I am not certain but the Saros cycle brings a repeat then with a number of significant dates and eclipses. Still understanding the Hebrew roots of our words – even the word for “watch” is helping me to clarify things for later posts !
