I totally get this … our home lacked food and certainly healthy food ; grateful for what we have .

Some folks weaponized food , some will eat anything and hold so much weight ; most always relates to childhood trauma .

Our children had a Mom who seldom if ever functioned after medications for Bipolar I that was induced by toxic medications and physically altered me. So our children experience lack. As did I. If he was home he took them out for food ; eldest worked and middle one and youngest fledged for themselves .

Haunted me for years because of what it did to neglect and abuse our children and project I was at fault ,for not doing my job . No one is that disinterested; it was his out as it had been for a decade. A lord of the manner , who failed to be of service , demanding to be served.
