Overwhelming Femininity

“It’s just that you’re not that feminine.”

I beg to differ.

I’m feminine like a thunderstorm.

Feminine like the glint of a falcon talon.

Feminine like an ancient redwood.

Feminine like the orange glow of a grizzly bear in the sunset.

Feminine like a wolf on the hunt.

Feminine like decaying bones.

Feminine like the eye of an old whale.

Feminine like a roaring river.

Feminine like a sheer cliff overlooking a forest.

Feminine like a wildfire.

Feminine like a desert wind.

Feminine like a battle cry.

And yes.

Within my stones and bark and fur and fierce slit irises… I am as soft and enveloping as any woman who’s blood ever beat red.

This is the Sovereigness.

I am her.

We are her.

We are an age of woman who has come in, representing the medicine of the Wilds.

We are not built to actualize your sense of masculinity through your traditional idea of femininity.

We are built to bring in the voice of our Mother.

Which is why Earth herself screams in our veins.

So, if what you really mean is,

“Your femininity is overwhelming”,

Then I understand.

It is to me, too.

Gaslighting

“Women have been driven mad, “gaslighted,” for centuries by the refutation of our experience and our instincts in a culture which validates only male experience. The truth of our bodies and our minds has been mystified to us. We therefore have a primary obligation to each other: not to undermine each others’ sense of reality for the sake of expediency; not to gaslight each other. …

Women have often felt insane when cleaving to the truth of our experience. Our future depends on the sanity of each of us, and we have a profound stake, beyond the personal, in the project of describing our reality as candidly and fully as we can to each other.”

― Adrienne Rich, “On Lies, Secrets, and Silence. Selected Prose 1966-1978”

Corrects history bout women

Isn’t it odd that once upon a time in Europe a woman could be killed for making potions from the plants around her.

Isn’t it insane that once upon a time wise women were burnt or drowned for helping birth babies, knowing their herbs, gathering in groups of more than two, being outside alone, being strong, being beautiful, being ugly, being different, being sexual, being non sexual or touching a nettle, smelling a rose or drinking wild teas.

Isn’t it madness that a woman who knew her body, her mind and her heart was cast aside as evil, as a sinner and her life taken away.

Women, do not let the ancestral memory of this that is held in your make up, in your bones and blood hold you back. Rise dear sweet sisters, rise so that our daughters and daughters daughters don’t have to wonder when we lost our tongues and denied our hearts.

Grow a new tongue, invite the wolf in, awaken the witch and dance under the moon. Embrace your heart, your womb, your gut and your wisdom.

Magical words of remembrance from Brigit Anna McNeill

Message to Men – Women are Tired

A Wake-Up Call to Men in Relationships!!!!

I don’t want to sound harsh, but this is a message we all need to hear: Our women are tired.

They’re emotionally drained, and many of us don’t even realize that we’re nearing the edge of losing the best thing that’s ever happened to us.

For far too long, they’ve been carrying the weight of emotional labor in our relationships, but that burden is becoming unbearable. The truth is, their patience, forgiveness, and willingness to endure aren’t inexhaustible resources. The well is running dry.

We assume that because they’ve always extended grace, always stood by us, that they always will. But let me make it clear: that’s not guaranteed. There’s a limit to how much one person can give when the other isn’t reciprocating or even acknowledging the imbalance.

This is not a threat, nor is it me pandering. This is a call to action.

We have two choices: level up or level off. If we don’t take this seriously, many of us will soon be facing the reality of a woman who’s reached her limit. The end of grace and mercy.

Take heed. Don’t wait until she’s gone to realize how deeply she’s been hurting, how much she’s been carrying, and how much she’s been hoping—hoping that you’d see her pain and decide to show up in the way she’s needed all along.

Don’t let this be you. Be proactive. Be present. Be committed to doing better. For her. For yourself. For the relationship you could have if you truly step into your role as her equal, her partner, and her emotional support.

We’ve been given countless chances to show up. Let’s not waste another one.

#PermissionToThinkDifferently

P.S. I’ve been accused of pandering to women, and I get it.

I certainly hope your pride won’t convince you that this another “pandering post by Burrus”.

Awakened Women Warriors

“A woman who is awake is a warrior of the heart. She can never settle for a man who can’t reveal his soul.

She knows what he offers is just an illusion to get what he wants unless he is willing to show her his true Self…..

It is only when a man has done the inner work that her soul can recognize him.

It is only when a man has learned to listen to his heart that she can hear his call.

She knows that a man, who understands who he is, and has learned to get away from his ego, is also a man who can bring her the depth of love she seeks.

Only a man who knows how to walk with her in the secret garden of her soul holds the key to unlock the reservoir of love she aspires to pour upon him.

And because she’s a warrior at heart, she’ll never settle for anything less. ”

Breaking

When life breaks you, it is because you are ready to be put back together differently. Every piece of you that feels shattered is a piece that will find a new place, a new purpose, a new meaning.

Trust that the cracks are where the light gets in.

And sometimes, in our brokenness, we find our greatest wholeness.

We find the courage to rebuild, to reimagine, to redefine what it means to be strong.

You are not broken; you are breaking through.🥀🌷
