Minimize the faults. As ye would be forgiven, forgive others. Magnify the virtues. So in thy own experience a soft word turneth away wrath, grievous words stirreth up anger. The sowing of the seed of the spirit bringeth peace. The sowing of the seed of strife bringeth contention.

The entity is naturally intuitive; to the degree that it can judge dispositions, natures, temperaments. Never do this as a harshness. As indicated, magnify the virtues and minimize the faults in others. For, as ye do it unto others, so may it be done unto thee. Forgive, if ye would be forgiven. Make thyself lovely to others if you would have love in thy own experience. That should be the stress in all of thy stories to the young.

The virtues, the faults, the weaknesses, the strengths, the inclinations, and those vibratory forces that disturb – all are a part of the entity. And there is then that which is the ideal for each entity, each soul in its experience in the earth; that channel, that way, that activity in which the virtues may become greater influences or the vices become greater. Hence as has been given of old, there is ever set before thee today, now, life and death, good and evil – choose thou.

For, each soul enters materiality with a purposefulness. And it is according to the application of self in those activities that would magnify the virtues, minimize the faults in self as well as in others, and make application of creative influences and forces, that makes for the growths or retardments in any material experience.

It would behoove the entity, then, to look deeply within self; analyze the abilities, analyze the faults as well as the virtues; and make the efforts to correct the faults and magnify the virtues. And do these in a way that self is not attempting to take shortcuts, nor to do the easy things – because these are the natural tendencies. To be sure, this counsel is set ahead of that – as we will find – from which conclusions are drawn. But these facts become so outstanding, these are given in the beginning with the hope that the entity will so apply self in this experience as to be the gainer; not only for self as an individual, but know that the ideals – whether physical, mental or spiritual – must be constructive and never of a selfish nature or with ulterior motives for obtaining ease along for self.

The virtues as well as the shortcomings are indicated, – and thus in applying self the virtues may be stressed and the shortcomings corrected. For remember, the will is the factor so lacking in execution in the experience of this entity. It has depended upon, the entity has looked to others to make decisions. While it has a mind of its own, and at times appears to use it to disturbing factors and influences for others, we find it is well for the entity to analyze itself, to study the manners of controlling self by self’s own will. Any study of psychological subjects, any study of will factors, would be most helpful and beneficial to the entity. Make or exercise self as to be more dominant, but with that dominance tempered with mercy and justice and love and faith and hope as ye have desired and do desire to be expressed toward thyself and thy relationships. For remember, there are immutable laws as respecting the mental and spiritual life. And these are they that live on and on. And in the material associations these are the basis of that manner in which the entity should act, should express itself. For it is in so doing, in sowing the seeds that are truth, that are life, that are eternal, that the source of happiness, peace and contentment arises.

In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are chosen with the desire that such may become a helpful experience, – if it will apply those conditions which are pointed out. Not only the faults are given, then, but the virtues. Not only the weaknesses but the strengths may be given, if the entity will make use of same. Know this: Each entity enters a material experience for a purpose; not accidentally, not by chance. But life and its expressions are purposeful. And each experience is that the entity may become more and more a channel through which the knowledge and the application of Creative Forces may be made manifest in a material world. These, then, are the urges latent and manifested from the innate or the indwelling forces outside of material sojourn, as well as those latent urges which arise in the emotions of the body in the entity’s mental self in the present; but irrespective of what the entity has done about same. These, as we find, are what might be said to be a combination or a composite of them all. Then it behooves the entity to know what is thy standard, what is thy ideal, and to determine within self as to whether it is spiritual or of the creative nature, or merely self and the ego of self, and the gratifying of self. These are choices. For the will is the greater motivating factor, and the choice must be by self. For today there is set before thee good and evil, choose thou.

…as the purpose of each soul’s entrance into a material plane is to leave the environs in such a manner that others may be aided in their search for those influences that bring creative energies to be a portion of the manifested activity, these would be those forces to which expression should be given by the entity in the present. In choosing the activities in the entity’s experience or sojourn, or the interpretation of the records here, – these, of course, are chosen with the desire that the experience be a helpful one. Hence, though the faults as well as the virtues may be indicated, these are given that the entity may apply self in such a manner as to become a better, a greater channel for aid and help and hope in the experiences of others.

We would minimize the faults and magnify the virtues. And in the analysis of the entity’s approach to the study of metaphysical, spiritual or mental subjects, do try to find where you agree and not stress disagreements. For, the earth is as one, two, three. And the universe is one, as the Lord is one. Thus, in thy study, while the analysis must be through the three-dimensional plane, that is the symbol or the vibration of the earth, in the analyzing of same do keep the oneness in mind, if any phase of manifestation would be undertaken or analyzed by the entity itself. Self analysis, self study, is well. If such is adhered to regularly in the experience of the entity, we will find much gain, much understanding; much of that which has heretofore been obscure and rather hard may be softened and the shadows turned to light.
