Is there a Connection between the Bull constellation Taurus at Galactic Anti Center and the God of the Bible or his son Jesus Christ?
I would say there is.
The Bull is found in many religions representing gods and or Heaven, I could list probably more than 50.
Sometimes they are associated with the mounts of Gods, as Shiva is given the Mount Nandi supposedly the name is from Pandi meaning Bull.
Shiva also gives us another clue to the Bull’s meaning as he wears the crescent Moon in his hair.
Now the very glyph for Taurus represents a Bull Head with horns but is also a symbol for the Crescent Moon (half Circle) and Sun (Full Circle).
A conjunction? An eclipse of the two?
Some stories claim the Bull as a Solar animal like the Apis bull, while others claim a lunar association as with the God Sin.
But in reality it is a luni-solar image, sometimes placed in fact between the Sun and Moon, just as the third eye is placed between the lunar and solar eye.
Sometimes the Sun is placed rising between two horned mountains or a twin peak mount – interesting how mount and moon are so similar, a mountain and and a mount for Shiva or other god to ride …
So between the mount’s horns the Sun was held supported and was even seen to be born.
Which brings us to similar stories perhaps in which Zeus often seen as the Bull gives birth from his head to Athena …
And then there are older stories in which Taurus was not male but was the Cow head of a Goddess, who also had over 50 names – ie in India where Prithvi was an Earth Cow but there were also Milky way associations and Rohini was the Goddess of this area – associated with the third eye/ bull’s eye/ red eye Aldebaran – and she too was once a Cow Goddess, Creation Goddess, who produced all the cows on Earth,
In Egypt too the Heavenly Cow or Celestial Cow was associated directly with the Milky Way – and both in Egypt Mesopotamia and India the Great Flood is associated with them too and with the sound of cows lowing or Bulls roaring.
In mesoptamian myth Gilgamesh killed the Bull of Heaven which was associated with a Flood. Also the story of Bab-El (the birth gate of the God El (Taurus) was associated with a Flood – the Tower of Babylon was built to hopefully protect from the Flood which had originated by the last birthing of El.
In Egypt Hathor had a destructive aspect called the Eye of Ra – as Sekhmet she nearly destroyed all humanity – is this the Eye of Providence? on top of the pyramid on the dollar bill seal – there is a connection –
as also to this Cow’s association with the Chaos caused by the Flood and disasters and the Creation after of a New World Order. We are so close now to another Ra or Re-Set – with Set God of chaos increasing in power each year as planned… I think the comet Apophis in 2029 marks the possible year…
The Bull and Cow Gods and Goddesses are both associated with the Milky Way axis. Before Zeus was King of the Gods who as Bull carried off Europa and dictated the world ending catastrophes of floods and fires, he had a wife called Hera who was still called Cow Eyed and whose Milk while breast feeding Hercules spurted out to create the Milky Way.
Marduk too while creating a new order out of Tiamat’s body took the form of a bull – his star Niberu was the star marking the crosssing of the Milky way river,
just as Oxford derives its name from a castrated Bull /Ox crossing the celestial Milky river.
Jesus carrying the cross has been compared and described as him carrying a yoke as oxen do –
“my yoke is easy” Jesus says in Matthew 11
sometimes the cross is associated with a crescent moon imagery I wont go into here.
The connection to the lunar crescent and the Bull sometimes notable in the christian story goes back further and can be more clearly seen in the Orpheus-Bachus crucifxion imagery with a crescent moon above and the Seven stars of the Pleiades in the Bull constellation shown, (this image probably is copied from a drawing in Joseph Campbell’s book series “The Masks of God”
These same seven stars Jesus has in his right hand in Revelations and of course there is much more lunar symbolism. But anyway lunar crescent and Taurus home of the Pleiades are connected.
The Chrismon (Christ-moon/mons mount, mound?) is an early form of a Christian Monagram or (Moon) -gram like the Chi Ro where you can clearly see that the vertical axis later given as a Ro or greek P is actually formed by the crescent Lunar Horns of the Bull Taurus exactly as it marks the Galactic Anti Center.
And of course P also suggests the Pleiades.
