If someone started drinking alcohol or doing drugs to deal with a ridiculous amount of stress and they lost their job due to cognitive problems, fought with police, went to jail numerous times, became violent with no prior history of violence, put on house arrest, lost custody of their child, lost close friends, attempted suicide a few times, did and said things that were completely out of character, and stopped doing things they used to enjoy, would you tell them to try a different type of alcohol or drug?
Now what if instead of alcohol & drugs, they were prescribed numerous types of psychiatric medication and all this happened? What if they were forced to take this medication that caused these issues?
More severe cases may need medication, but the new norm is the over prescribing of medicine for normal emotional responses to stress, grief, worry, and sadness.
The chemical imbalance theory was created by pharmacuitical companies and spread through psychiatry. This is a fact, not a “conspiracy theory.” There are no long term studies on these medications nor are there any studies done on combining medications.
This group does not shame those who are on medication nor promotes getting off if they are working. This group was created for those that have been harmed by psychiatric medication and for those who wish to learn more.
I hope you will join, share, or atleast look at the pinned videos of what psychiatrists are saying about these medications and read other people’s stories on their experiences.
